SKASE Journal of Translation and Interpretation (ISSN 1336-7811) is published by the Slovak Association for the Study of English (SKASE) as one of its specialised journals in the Series. It is an English-language peer-reviewed on-line journal with free access, currently indexed in SCOPUS, ERIH, EBSCO Open Access Journals, and Lund University Libraries.
SCOPE: SKASE JTI publishes original articles in all of the sub-disciplines of Translation Studies - empirical, theoretical, methodological or applied. The current editorial policy is described in the editorial of the issue 16/2 (link). Article types accepted for SKASE JTI can be found here.
Please use the journal email address, skase-jti@upjs.sk, for all communication with the journal.
Submissions of 10,000 words maximum are to be sent to the editor as an e-mail attachment in Word (for other details see the Style-Sheet provided online). Non-compliance with the Style-Sheet may result in the rejection of the article submitted. Authors are responsible for language correctness and appropriate academic English style of their submissions.
After submission, a manuscript is first discussed at an editorial meeting where it is decided whether it will be sent out for review or not. Authors will be notified if their manuscript is rejected at this stage. If it is sent out for review, we will look for two reviewers. We welcome suggestions of reviewers by authors, but we will not automatically follow them up. When reviews have come in, the editors will take a preliminary decision (accept, minor revision, major revision, reject). At this stage, authors will be informed of the decision and receive the reviews. If a revised version is submitted it will be judged by the editors or sent to the reviewers again, depending on the scope of the revision.
The Style Sheet and the Publication Malpractice Statement can be found in the "Guidelines" tab.

As an Open Access journal without author publishing fees, the SKASE Journal of Translation and Interpretation is dependent on the contribution of reviewers who share their time and expertise. As a small sign of our gratitude, we publish a list of reviewers who supported us in the preceding twelve months in the first issue of each volume, starting with volume 17.
